Wipers - Type 033

The Hallite 33 wiper has a lip designed to remove lightly adhered dirt from the rod i.e. mud, dust or moisture. The wiper is manufactured from a hard nitrile rubber suitable for installing in a grooved housing. Rod diameters (d1) of 20mm and below require a two piece housing. To prevent dirt passing the outside of the wiper and to reduce the pumping action, the outside diamter is an interference fit with the housing. Certain sizes of the standard Hallite 33 metric range are suitable for ISO6195 Housing Type A. Wipers are installed in the sealing configurations of hydraulic cylinders to prevent contaminants such as dirt, dust and moisture from entering the cylinder as they retract back into the system. Contamination can cause significant damage to the rod, cylinder wall, seals, and other components, and is one of the primary causes of premature seal and component failure in a fluid power system. HES and Hallite offer a wide range of hydraulic wipers in High Performance Hallite® 361 polyurethane, Nitrile®, Hythane® 181 and other polyester based materials, along with press-fit metal caged ranges. The wiper seal is the most undervalued seal type in the hydraulic cylinder in relation to its important function. Particular attention should be drawn to its selection, the surrounding environment and service conditions must also be taken into special consideration. Hydraulic Equipment Supermarkets are your approved Hallite supplier. If the type 33 wiper you need is not listed contact HES on 01452 730774 or email enquiries@hydraulicequipment.net
